I was up early one morning on a visit to Los Angeles, and this juxtaposition of the natural and the man-made caught my eye. In the background was this beautiful mountain; in the foreground was a jumble of buildings, asphalt, telephone poles, wire, billboards, and cars. The low morning light raking across the scene gave it a certain urban beauty.
