Nancy Wagstaff

About the Artist

Nancy Wagstaff - Biography

Nancy Wagstaff studied art at Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, then worked approximately twenty-two years as a free-lance package designer/illustrator.  For the last fifteen years, she has pursued her interest in fine art.  Her travels into the high desert of Oregon and road trips to remote and emptier parts of the west are the source and inspiration for her paintings.

“Although the subject matter for my paintings might seem disparate, it is united by a sense of the not too distant past that we, as Americans, share.  I am drawn to objects and scenes that not only speak of another time and place, but that ask the viewer to contemplate

their unexpected beauty and the role they play in our collective consciousness.”

She is a member of the Oil Painters of America (Associate) and a member of the California Art Club (Artist).
