This horse was waiting for his next "assignment" for a trail ride in the Montana mountains. I wanted to capture the horse's air of either resignation or patience, as well as the beautiful heft and detail of the western saddle. I chose to emphasize the iconic shape of horse and saddle by placing them in a neutral background.
