Rain God

I came across this scarecrow on a country road in eastern Oregon.  Some farmer had draped a rain slicker over some metal fence posts that he had tied together.  The resulting overall shape was cross-like, but what really caught my eye was the hood.  The late afternoon sun shone into the opening, highlighting the small metal cross that was inside. The scene struck me as superstitious, mysterious, and religious all at once.
