The Beckoning

The afternoon shadows make an interesting pattern on the weathered sides of this dairy barn.   Standing in the warm sun, I feel the invite of the cool and earthy interior of the barn; the distant door, perfectly framed at the opposite end of the opening where I stand, beckons me to come inside to be enfolded in the soft dark of the barn.
