These country mailboxes were lined up at in intersection on the rural Route 120, near Groveland, California. There was a long row of them and their various sizes, shapes, and stages of decay caught my eye. The late afternoon sun showed through the attached newspaper receptacles and made their plastic glow from within. Both mailboxes and plastic sleeves had an air of waiting patiently, almost expectantly, for news from “the outside”.
