Back in a Minute

This small trailer was nestled into a hillside, casting a long shadow in the morning sun.  The exterior color (a beautiful turquoise) had patches of rust and undercoat showing through.   There was a large bush blocking the door to the trailer interior and detritus scattered about.  It seemed that no one had lived there in some time.  And yet, I could see a ghostly image of some items (maybe a cup, or bowl) on the table located behind the big front window.  Perhaps the owner had just stepped out for a minute, but never returned.

This painting was accepted into the California Art Club 108th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition.
