Southwest Pumpjack
Oil on Canvas
20" x 20"

I have always been attracted to the juxtaposition of the man-made brute strength of pump jacks with the austere beauty of the landscape. This one was a slightly faded deep green that stood out and complimented the subtle colors of the surrounding countryside.
This painting was accepted into the 2018 Annual Gold Medal Exhibition of the California Art Club, and was sold during the exhibition.
