Edge of Civilization

This abandoned trailer was in a dusty small town in California, very near the Mexican border.  The town consisted of a few struggling businesses, some rough and tumble houses, and this trailer, parked and left for good on the outskirts of town.  It had been used for target practice and it's aluminum shell undulated with the dents of time and vandals.  Who had lived here?  Where had they gone?  Why did they leave?  Questions that the desert breeze whispered as I looked at it in the bright mid-day light.
